Whistles and Sunhats

Shop, shop, shop. That one word concludes my entire week. Whether I've been into town to rummage through the sales or sat in my quilt at home on the laptop ordering everything I see, I've been LOVING shopping recently. Yesterday I went into town to do some shopping whilst all of the good things were still in the sale and I wasn't disappointed. Today I'm wearing my new top from Whistles, which I'm obsessed with at the moment. Then again, when am I not obsessed with whistles? Both my midi skirt and sunhat are from Topshop. My shoes are from Kurt Geiger and my bag is a céline dupe which I purchased whilst in Turkey. I kept my jewellery basic by wearing a thin gold watch and tiny gold hoops. I also kept my makeup basic my keeping it neutral.

Black floppy hat - Topshop
Lemon top - Whistles
Black midi skirt - Topshop
Black fur slip ons - Kurt Geiger
Céline dupe bag - A market in Turkey
Thin gold watch - Collectables

I'm currently loving Whistles. It's most definitely one of my favourite shops.

Bronzer/Blush- Laura Geller Bronze-n-Brighten
Mascara- Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast
Lip balm - Pink Grapefruit from The Body Shop
Eyebrows - Brow Tech Trio from Smashbox in Taupe/Soft Brown
My nail polish is a couture one from Nails Inc so I'm unsure which shade it is!

I hope you're having a wonderful day!

Soap and Glory's Heel Genius

If you're anything like me and forever wear sandals, then you know how important it is for your feet to always be prepared for those spontaneous exposed moments! Growing up I always had nice feet, I mean, as good as feet can get I suppose. I even used to get compliments on my them (weird, I know). A few months ago I was out shopping on the escalator and the woman in front of me was wearing sandals. Oh my goodness. I've never saw heels so bad in my entire life, they just looked so dry and cracked, not to mention sore. That was the moment that I vowed to myself to start looking after my feet properly and to never let them get to that stage because it was truly horrific. I bought Soap and Glory's Heel Genius as I'd read so many great reviews about the amazing results it produced. Firstly, the packaging. I'm in loooooove with the packaging! The product isn't what I was expecting. I was expecting a thick creamy texture and it isn't like that at all. It's a very thin, light texture which is a god send as it soaks in right away so you don't have to worry about it sticking to your socks or the floor. The only downside to this product is the smell. I personally don't like it as I usually go for fruity and uplifting scents. I just wish this product had a lovely pink grapefruit scent! You can purchase this product here. Overall, I'm a very happy bunny.

How do get your feet ready for summer? Let me know!

Summer lovin'

Helllllo! I thought I'd just do a quick post to show you all my makeup and hair for today. I'm just having a quiet day catching up on YouTube videos and blog posts since I've been super busy. It's nice to just sit down and have a little catch up. I decided to have neutral base makeup with a bright lip and messy second-day-hair just in case I have to nip out somewhere (which will more than likely happen considering I can't stay still for very long!). I shall link everything below so it makes it super easy to find everything I'm wearing on my face in case you're interested or like the look of anything! To apply this makeup I used the Real Techniques core collection which I purchased recently and I am LOVING. The buffing brush is my absolute favourite! I've been buying a lot recently so there may be a not-so-small haul coming soon as I just can't seem to stop myself from buying!

Turkey

As you may have noticed, I haven't posted in what feels like forever! I've been on holiday to Turkey and everything has been super hectic recently so I thought I'd share what I've been getting up to with you all. Turkey is such a beautiful place and so we thought we'd return again. Our hotel was absolutely stunning and not to mention the shopping, oh those wonderful Turkish markets. We stayed at the Palm Wings beach resort, we've been here twice before and it was as beautiful as ever. The resort has a hotel block and also bungalow rooms which are located in the resorts gardens. It has a private beach with it's own water sports section exclusive for guests at the resort. Whilst on holiday we went shopping (of course), to the markets, ate out at restaurants, done water sports, swam and squeezed every last bit of sun in that we could.

Whilst at the airport travelling from Newcastle to Bodrum, I spotted my absolute favourite perfume so I couldn't resist making a little pre-holiday purchase.

Our hotel gardens were just filled with the most beautifully coloured flowers I've saw.

At night we could watch the sunset from the jetty.

Just admiring the view on our last day.

I've been drinking.... Watermelooooon.

I probably could have stayed forever. Excuse the photo bomber.

I took The Fault in Our Stars to reread before I arrived home and watched the film. It's such a
beautiful yet heart breaking book!

The flight home felt like the looooongest time and was filled with screaming children. Fun. At least I had this beautiful view to look at.

I hope you enjoyed reading what I've been getting up to!
Where are you going on holiday this year?

OHH LA LA

I'm a firm believer in 'you only get what you pay for' so I'm always a bit apprehensive buying lipsticks which are on the cheaper end. I've bought a Topshop lipstick before and I just haven't been impressed at all as it dried my lips and was so disappointing. I received some Topshop vouchers for my birthday so I went in and had a browse around and, of course, found myself in the lipstick section. I usually have a look and swipe a few on my hand but never really consider buying any from here. I swiped a lipstick in the shade 'ohh la la' and I fell in love. It's a coral shade, which I absolutely love at the moment! I find that the more applications of this lipstick you apply, the more it intensifies. I like to apply quite a lot as it turns into such a lovely bold peach colour which is perfect for spring. I have to admit, I am actually very impressed with this lipstick although I do apply lip balm before I put it on just to ensure I have none of those awful dry and patchy lipstick scenarios! Well done Topshop!
